Today more focus and importance is being placed on recycling and the environment than ever before. Companies nationwide are spearheading efforts to eliminate any of their waste being hauled to a land fill. Well, we have gone the extra mile to assist companies in their efforts. Throughout our history Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. has been proud to be a 100% "green" company and we continue to maintain our commitment to the environment. Our ongoing complete recycling initiatives include:

Scrap and Pallet Removal

This is where the cycle begins. Our recycling division obtains used and broken pallets through a variety of sources including scrap and pallet removals from our customers. We also buy used wood pallets from other vendors. Scrap removals are returned to our recycling plant & sorted into one of the following categories:

Used wood pallets in good condition are placed into inventory and available for immediate resale
Pallets too damaged for repair are disassembled for the usable boards
As shown below, used pallets are repaired using boards recycled off of a damaged one
Unusable lumber left over from disassembled pallets goes into our grinder where it is ground into mulch for sale. We also grind scrap lumber into wood chips that are burned in our Hydronic heating system used to heat our 65,000 square foot facility and heat treating chamber.

Pallet Recycling / Repair

Some companies are still unaware that wood pallets can be repaired, used again and are available for purchase. In many instances buying and utilizing repaired and used wood pallets can be a money-saving alternative - particularly when shipping your product out and not getting the pallet back. Purchasing recycled pallets you would also be a making a contribution to the environment.

"Repair and Return" Program

If your pallets are used internally (not for shipments) or if you receive back the pallets you ship out, Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. can set up a wood pallet "Repair and Return Program" for your company. We will haul your repairable pallets out, then repair them and sell them back to you to reuse at a discounted price. This program is a money-saving option as your cost for us to do so would be lower vs. purchasing another used pallet. We operate our own fleet of trucks so we would handle all of the pick up and delivery

Used and Remanufactured Pallets

As the leading pallet supplier, we maintain an inventory of 70,000 - 100,000 used wood pallets in a wide range of standard and custom sizes ready for immediate delivery or pick up. Our recycling division also builds remanufactured wood pallets. These are pallets built from scratch using all used, recycled lumber or a combination of new and used. These pallets can be ordered built to size. Because all recycling is done at our local facilities all used and remanufactured pallets are available for immediate resale at low prices.
