PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

What products and services do you offer?
Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. provides complete packaging and shipping solutions. This includes:

PRODUCTS: wood pallets and skids (new and used), custom wood packaging and crating, plastic and corrugated pallets, collapsible boxes, crating kits, industrial lumber, mulch and sawdust. We also build remanufactured pallets which are pallets built from scratch using all used, recycled lumber or a combination of new and used.

SERVICES: heat treating for overseas shipments, scrap and pallet removal, inventory management, wood waste management, repair and return programs, ISTA packaging / logistics testing, and pallet recycling. We also service our community by being a 100% "green" company. All un-repairable pallets and all scrap lumber are ground into mulch for sale, thus returned to earth in a biodegradable and natural form. Wood and pallet scrap lumber is also ground into wood chips and burned in our Hydronic boiler system used to heat our entire 65,000 square foot facility and heat treating chamber.

Can your company do heat treating for overseas shipments?
Can we buy heat treated lumber?
Yes. We have a state-of-the-art heat treating chamber on-site that will meet all of your export shipping requirements while accelerating production of your order. For any pallets, crating or industrial lumber being shipped overseas, your cargo will be ISPM 15 compliant with the IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention) stamp requirement.

Can your company design a custom crate to ship our products in?
We specialize in custom wood packaging and crating with over 35 years experience packaging products for shipment all over the world. We have a full time Product Design Engineer on staff dedicated entirely to servicing our wood packaging and crating customers and will take you from design to shipment. We will also come to your facility and work with your shipping and engineering team.

Does your company do wood pallet / scrap removals or any recycling of pallets?
Can you set up wood waste management program for us?
Yes, our recycling division obtains used and broken pallets through a variety of sources including pallet and scrap removals from our customers. We also buy used pallets from other vendors. Scrap removals are returned to our recycling plant & sorted into one of the following categories:

• Used pallets in good condition are placed into inventory and available for immediate resale
• Pallets too damaged for repair are disassembled for the usable boards
• Used pallets are repaired using boards recycled off of a damaged one
• Unusable lumber from disassembled pallets goes into our grinder where it's ground into mulch for sale or into wood chips and burned in our Hydronic boiler system which heats our 65,000 square foot facility and heat treating chamber

Does your company provide personal service or on-site assistance?
Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. prides itself on outstanding customer service and targeted solutions to all of your packaging and shipping needs. Our inside sales / customer service team is always accessible to assist with quotes or questions. Our outside sales reps are available to provide personal service, on-site assistance or for any urgent requirement. Each member of our outside sales team is equipped with a lap top computer and Blackberry cell phone.

Do you sell used pallets?
Yes, our recycling division reconditions used pallets on-site for immediate resale at low prices. We maintain an inventory of 70,000-100,000 pallets in a wide range of standard and custom sizes ready for immediate delivery or pick up. Our recycling division also builds remanufactured wood pallets. These are pallets built from scratch but using all used lumber. These pallets can be ordered built to size at low prices.

Can we have a pallet and scrap removal done without purchasing pallets?
Yes, we can usually work out a mutually agreeable program and schedule you for just a scrap removal.

Can you drop a trailer here?
Yes. We have over 80 trailers in our fleet used for deliveries, storage and scrap removals. We can design a program to meet your requirements and if dropping a trailer and setting up a drop and hook program is necessary we will do so.

What is the turnaround time once we place an order?
If it's a used pallet we stock, we could turn it around next day. For most products we manufacture, an order placed before 10:00 a.m. can be delivered next day. Longer lead times are required to manufacture an intricate custom pallet or crate or if we have to order special lumber. Having our own fleet of semis, short trucks, flatbeds and trailers enables us to control all scheduling and delivery vs. companies who use outside trucking. That depends on the product being ordered.

Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. has been in business for over 35 years. We're currently one of the largest companies in the industry with over 100 employees and centrally located in Hartford, WI, 25 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Our knowledge and experience has enabled us to provide quality products, prompt delivery and outstanding customer service to customers throughout Wisconsin.

Does your company belong to any associations in the industry?
Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. has been a proud and active member of the National Wood Pallet and Container Assn. for over 20 years. The NWPCA mission statement is: dedicated to the success of helping members create cost-effective, environmentally responsible solutions to meet their customers changing unit load handling needs NWPCA also informs members of new / updated government regulations to assure we operate in full compliance.

Are you adequately staffed and capable of designing and managing inventory control programs?
Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. offers various cost-effective solutions to assist with inventory control and "just in time" delivery at no additional cost. Vendor Managed Inventory and Stock-on-the-Ground programs can be implemented at our facility or yours, to provide and maintain accurate inventory control and assure that you never run short of product.

Does your company utilize any design software programs?
Can you provide AutoCAD® drawings or prints?
Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. is one of just a few companies in the industry currently using the Pallet Design System software program. This PDS© program assures you receive a pallet that meets all of your shipping requirements at the lowest cost. Goeman's also has a Product Design Engineer on staff to provide full package engineering services for any pallet or crating requirement and provide AutoCAD® drawings and prints at no cost.

Does your company operate their own fleet of trucks?
Some companies outsource trucking. Goeman's Wood Products, Inc. operates their own fleet of semi's, flatbeds, short trucks and vans to assure prompt and reliable delivery / pick up. We currently maintain 99.4% on-time delivery. By having our own fleet of trucks, most orders placed before 10:00 a.m. can be delivered next day. Our diverse fleet of trucks and vans can accommodate any delivery requirement or dock size.
