CUSTOMER SERVICE / INSIDE SALESCustomer care is a very important segment of the "value-added" that Goeman's Wood Products brings to the table and we feel a major reason for our success. Whether you're requesting a quick quote, a rush shipment, a change to your order, help with a product design or on-site assistance we'll be there for you. Our customer service department supports our outside sales account executives and teams up with our inside sales, quality control, and marketing departments to provide the best and most prompt care and attention. Our well-trained, experienced staff will ensure that your requests are addressed promptly and efficiently. Our state-of-the-art computer based manufacturing program enables us to track and expedite your order from Order Process > Manufacturing > Delivery > Invoicing. Expect quick response for quotes, questions, design specification changes, changes to an order or requests for on-site assistance. PRODUCTIONOur Operations Manager oversees 5 division supervisors. PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEERINGGoeman's Wood Products, Inc. also has full time Product Design Engineers (12 years experience) and a support staff dedicated solely to the design and manufacture of custom wood packaging and crating. Our professionally trained staff uses the AutoCAD design software program. This software provides us the capability of creating drawings and prints for the design and manufacture of every custom wood packaging product. Examples of these products would be shock-absorbing bases and crates, unique or odd-sized pallets and skids, collapsible and returnable boxes & crating kits. Regardless of the shape, size, composition or destination of your product(s) or cargo we can design the wood packaging product to meet your shipping needs. MATERIALS PURCHASINGGoeman's Wood Products employs a full time purchasing manager (15 years in the wood products industry) dedicated solely to the buying of lumber and all assembly materials. We have excellent relationships with over 150 saw mills throughout the Midwest and Canada. Because of our volume and quantity of purchases these mills supply us with quality lumber at very competitive prices. This enables us to pass those savings on to you in addition to providing quality products, excellent customer service & prompt delivery / pick up. PALLET AND SCRAP REMOVALAs an added service to our customers, we also perform wood pallet and scrap lumber removals. This is where it all begins for our recycling operation. Our recycling division obtains used and broken pallets from various sources including pallet and scrap removals from our customers. We also buy used pallets from other vendors. Scrap removals are picked up and brought to our recycling plant & sorted:
DRIVERS / MAINTENANCEGoeman's Wood Products operates its own fleet of semis, flatbeds, short trucks and vans to assure prompt and reliable delivery and pick up. Unlike other companies that outsource their deliveries to outside trucking companies, we maintain complete control over scheduling and deliveries and all of our drivers are Goeman's employees. We maintain an average of 99.7% on-time delivery. Every customer using a supplier scorecard on service has given us a score of 100 on delivery. Our fully staffed and equipped maintenance department is on-site to service all of our trucks and trailers to assure reliability, safety and prompt delivery. These highly trained professionals also service all of our equipment used in production. |
