Viking Turbo - Automated Pallet Assembly

We can meet any large quantity pallet order using our Viking Turbo for automated pallet assembly. We program all of the pallet design specs into the computer then 3 production people feed the precut stringers and deck boards into the machine at 3 separate work stations. This state-of-the-art pallet assembly machine can build up to 2,400 pallets per 8 hour shift using just 3 people.

HEAT TREATING CHAMBER ON-SITE

We have a state-of-the-art heat treating chamber on-site to meet all of your export shipping requirements while accelerating production and delivery of your order. For wood pallets, custom wood packaging and crating, boxes or industrial lumber being shipped overseas, your cargo will be ISPM 15 compliant with the IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention) stamp requirement.

Note: Hardwood is no longer exempt. All ISPM 15 requirements apply to all species of non-coniferous (hardwood) and coniferous (softwood) packaging materials used for manufacturing pallets, skids, crates, boxes and dunnage (softwood blocking.) Manufactured wood such as OSB and plywood are still exempt.

However all exempt wood species must still be stamped for ISPM and IPPC compliance.

Automated Notcher

Our automated notching machine turns a 2-way pallet into a 4-way instantly! The purpose of notching the stringers is to make the pallet accessible from all 4 sides when using either a forklift or hand jack. This machine can notch 2,400 stringers an hour but does have size limitations. For unusually long stringers we use a manual feed notching machine.

Pallet Disassembly Equipment

Our pallet disassembly equipment enables us to salvage and recycle used stringers and deck boards from un-repairable pallets.

This lumber is then used either to replace a board to repair a used pallet or to build remanufactured pallets with all used lumber.

Grinder for Recycling Wood Waste

Our grinding equipment is operated by full time personnel dedicated solely to the recycling of all wood waste. All remaining scrap lumber and any used pallets beyond repair are ground into mulch and sold to nurseries and landscapers. Thus it's returned to earth in a biodegradable and natural form.

We also grind our scrap lumber into wood chips and burn them in our Hydronic hot water heating system used to heat our entire 65,000 square foot building and heat treating chamber thus "completing the cycle".

"REPAIR - REUSE - RECYCLE"

Air Exchanger / Vacuum for Recycling Sawdust

Goeman's Wood Products has an air exchanger / vacuum system connected to all of the saws on our saw line. One function of this system is to collect all of the sawdust, blow it through the ductwork and into a sawdust bin outside the building. Then the sawdust is mixed with recycled and ground up cardboard and sold to farmers to use for animal bedding.

Truck Fleet

We operate our own fleet of trucks including semi's, flatbeds, short trucks and vans so we're fully capable of accommodating any dock limitations or load sizes. Doing so allows us to control all scheduling and assures we provide you with prompt and reliable delivery and pick up. We also have a fully staffed and equipped maintenance department on-site to service all of our trucks and trailers. This enables us to consistently maintain a 99.7% on-time delivery.

Holtec Bundle Saw

We are equipped to cut full bundles of lumber, cants and timbers with our Holtec Bundle Saw (at right). We stock and sell industrial lumber and have all the saws and equipment necessary to cut any type of lumber, plywood, OSB, MDF, hardwood or softwood to any size.
